Post Jetlag First Day

When we woke up from a real, full night's sleep we both felt like about a million francs.  Thats worth even more than a million dollars for those unfamiliar with swiss currency.  The day before kinda felt like a dream to me and its a good thing Jen was there to drag me through the heat to find the promised land (AKA the hidden park with grass we found to take a 3 hour nap in.)  Without her I might have fallen asleep on a tram track.  This morning we were finally post-jetlag.  After we took much needed showers and ate a light breakfast we hit the city for round two; which was much more successful!!!  We strolled through the old school european alley ways and I think it finally set in that we were half way around the world.....
Beautiful day in Zurich (pronounced seureesh)

Little alley walkways with shops and restaurants.

Monster swan with ginormous feet and hungry eyes.  (shutter).

 We're adorable.

This is the view from our grassy nap area.

Jen seemed like she was in heaven in a "fancy" chocolate store called Shpriingli.

4 dollars for a coke.  Really? Yep. Really.  Jen: "It's that fancy "swissness" they put in it."

Ummmmm we're about it get DUMPED on.

DUMPED on.

Personal note to Linda:  Jen mentioned repeatedly that she had a pretty rain jacket and was very sad she didn't have it with her.  In her defense, it was a sunny 80 degrees or so most of the day. :)
